Welcome to Silktown Soap Company, where all of our solid soap bars are crafted from natural, plant-derived, and organic ingredients such as clays, fruits, and flowers. Each of our standard-sized soap bars weighs 118g unless otherwise stated.

We believe in the power of nature. Our soaps contain no artificial ingredients, preservatives, or lather enhancers. Every benefit you experience comes directly from the natural properties of our ingredients.

Traditional Craftsmanship

Our soaps are made using the traditional cold process method. We meticulously measure lye, water, butters, and oils to create our soap, following scientist-approved recipes. Natural variations in shape and color are a testament to their handmade nature, making each bar unique.

Ingredients and Their Benefits

  • Coconut Oil: A superb moisturizer that helps remove dead skin cells and dirt, rich in antioxidants to keep skin looking fresh.
  • Olive Oil: Packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties to speed up skin regeneration, slow aging, and treat rashes and sunburn.
  • Cocoa Butter: Reduces the appearance of scars, boosts overall skin health, and neutralizes free radicals with its antioxidants.
  • Shea Butter: Moisturizes without clogging pores, offers natural UV protection, and helps fade scars. Rich in vitamins A and E for cell regeneration and antioxidant protection.
  • Castor Oil: Makes skin plump and supple, helps clear acne, boosts collagen, and naturally treats wrinkles. Adds a dense, creamy lather to our soaps.
  • Rice Bran Oil: Perfect for sensitive or mature skin, high in fatty acids, vitamins, antioxidants, and nutrients. Helps slow aging and has been used in Japan for centuries to fight wrinkles.
  • Essential Oils: Ethically sourced pure essential oils are used for their specific skin benefits. For example, lavender oil calms stressed minds and skin. We blend oils in-house to create unique, pleasing scents.
  • Clay: Provides natural exfoliation, removes excess oils, dead skin cells, and impurities. Tightens and tones skin, leaving it smooth and radiant.
  • Activated Charcoal: Treats oily skin, reduces pore size, clears blemishes, and prevents premature aging. Suitable for all skin types, it tightens skin and absorbs toxins.

Natural Colorants and Additional Botanicals

We use a variety of natural ingredients to color and enhance our soaps:

  • Nettle Leaves: A natural astringent that reduces redness and fights blemishes.
  • Annatto Seeds: Provide yellow or orange color and have antibacterial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Indigo Powder: Adds natural blue or grey hues for color variation.
  • Oats: Soften skin, lock in moisture, calm redness or itchy skin, restore natural pH balance, and eliminate body odor.
  • Rice Water/Milk: Gives skin a gentle glow, evens out skin tone, and smoothens the surface with regular use.

Usage Note

Please avoid using our soap on mucous membranes or broken skin, as these areas are more sensitive and may become irritated.
